Bringing Joy to Families

The Mid-York Interfaith Holiday Project annually supports families and resident homes in the Hamilton & Madison, NY area, and has given hundreds of children a special holiday.

We help as many families as possible to have a happy holiday season through gifts of new clothes, shoes, boots, hats, mittens, toys, food baskets for a holiday meal, and pantry staples to go beyond.

We provide gifts for each child, a donation of a ham for a family, hats & mittens/gloves and snow boots, and personal care items. For teenagers, we offer gift cards to Walmart so they can choose their own presents. We also deliver food baskets to the elderly.

During the summer months, we provide gift cards to seniors for gas and grocery staples.

Our focus is on low income children and their families in the Madison Central School and Hamilton Central School districts. We work closely with the school nurses in both areas to identify children in extreme need. We then send letters to these families asking them to fill out some information for their child's Christmas "Wish List". The gifts each child requests we then diligently shop for and provide whenever it is within our power.

We are a non-profit run by volunteers and rely on donations and support from our wonderful local churches, businesses, and community members.
